• PRICE:

    Children (under 16 years old):  £6.95 each

    Adults:  £7.95 each.  For every 6 children, 1 adult is free. Carers with an access card (with a +1) are free with a paying customer.

    Bucket of feed: £1.50 per bucket (fresh food will be included if a tour is held)

  • TOURS:

    A tour will be
    included for groups of 10 children or more. 
    Large groups may need to be split up for farm tours/soft play access. 

  • SCHEDULE:

    We are very
    flexible with the schedule and can work it around you. The entrance fee includes access to the farm and soft play barn for the day.  If we split large group of students into smaller groups, then we can plan a timetable to include 1) Hands on Farm Tour, 2) Soft Play, 3) Tractor Track and 4)
    Independent Time on the Farm.

  • LUNCH:

    Picnics can be eaten in the outside picnic area within the farm. We have an undercover area which we can reserve the group.  Food (including lunchboxes) can be purchased from our Tea Room or Play Barn. Only food purchased onsite can be eaten inside the Play Barn and Tea Room. 

  • COACH:

    We have space
    for coach parking in the overflow car park.

    RISK ASSESMENT

    You are welcome
    to visit the farm prior to your trip to complete your own Risk Assessment.  Please arrange a date with us. 

  • PAYMENT:

    Invoices will
    be sent 2 weeks prior to the trip. 
    Please can these be paid before the visit. 

Farm Safety:

These rules have been put together forvisitor safety and animal welfare.

By entering White Elm Petting Farm all visitors agree to follow these rules and the safety advice of the farm.

The farm park management has taken every reasonable step to control the risks inherent in a farm environment through the design, maintenance and operation of this site. However it is impossible to eliminate these risks entirely.

By entering this farm, visitors are deemed to have accepted the level of risk that may be found in a farm environment.

  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Parents/guardians must remain within the farm park
    premises with their children at all times.
  • Parents/guardians must ensure children understand the
    safety instructions of this farm.
  • Visitors are allowed to hand feed and pet animals if
    they can be reached without entering the pen. Please take care.
  • White Elm Petting Farm encourages children to play in
    and explore the farm but parents/guardians must be aware that there are
    inherent risks associated with children playing, including tripping,
    falling and bumping.
  • Visitors must be dressed appropriately and be wearing
    suitable shoes when visiting the farm to suit the prevailing weather
    conditions. 
  • Pregnant women must avoid contact with sheep and goats
    during the lambing season which for most breeds runs from January to the
    end of April.
  • Animals may bite or scratch, so take care, especially
    when feeding by hand.
  • Some animals may be loose, please take care and wash
    hands after petting or feeding them.
  • Only feed livestock foods that are supplied by the
    farm park. Do not feed them your lunch.
  • Do not kiss animals or hold them close to your face.
  • Do not hold children up to animals
  • Do not tease, intimidate or act aggressively towards
    livestock.
  • No animals, including pets are to be brought on to the
    farm, without prior consent from the farm park management.
  • Please respect the bio security measures of this farm.
    Walk through shoe disinfection mats where they are provided and use the
    hand wash facilities provided after touching farm equipment or animals.
  • Do not open the door or gate to any livestock pen,
    ark, house or aviary.
  • Do not enter any livestock pen or climb over or
    through any fence or hedgerow.
  • Male animals are kept on this site, they are generally
    not aggressive but visitors must remain vigilant.
  • Some livestock have horns, please take care around
    animals and ensure children are aware of the risk of injury.
  • Animals may behave unexpectedly; visitors must remain
    vigilant particularly when approaching a pen, when feeding livestock and
    when walking among loose animals.
  • Battery operated electric fencing is used extensively
    throughout the site. Where possible it is kept out of the reach of
    visitors and identified with warning signs. Please make yourself and
    children aware of its presence and make no effort to reach it.
  • Farm furnishings: Including animal shelters, feeders,
    drinkers, traditional crafts, plantings, green woodworking and stone work
    are used throughout the site, each have inherent risks such as
    splintering. Every effort has been made by design, construction and
    maintenance to limit these risks. Visitors must take care.
  • Wash hands thoroughly using the hand wash facilities
    provided after touching livestock and farm furnishings and before
    consuming food or drink or leaving the farm site.
  • Do not consume any fruit, nut, foliage or any other
    part of any plant, animal or fungi found on this farm.
  • Photography is permitted, providing all photos used
    for commercial or publishing purposes are credited with White Elm Petting
    Farm as location.
  • Do not touch or play with any tools, machinery or
    plumbing, other than the designated hand washing facilities found on this
    farm.
  • Report any incident immediately to farm park staff or
    a senior member of White Elm garden centre staff.
  • Do not enter the pond area without permission and
    company of a member of farm park staff.
  • The farm park management reserves the right to refuse
    entry.

Our animals are healthy, happy and lovingly cared for. As with all animals, they can naturally carry germs that don't make them ill but can sometimes make people unwell

TERM TIME

Monday to Friday 9.00am until 4.00pm
you can arrive at anytime within your booking, however you must leave at the end of your session 4.00pm

WEEKENDS & SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Morning session 9.00am up to 12.30pm. Afternoon Session 12.30pm up to 4.00pm.

You can arrive at anytime within your allocated session, however you must leave by your session end time.

We have a limited number of tickets on sale for each session so please book early to avoid disappointment.

** Due to private parties being held, the play barn will be UNAVAILABLE from 9am to 10.15am and 3.30pm to 4pm on Weekends & some other dates including some School Holiday/Bank Holiday dates. **

ANNUAL PASS

Annual Pass

Our annual pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, this entitles you to visit as often as you wish throughout the 12 months.

Adults (12+) – £69.99

Child (2+) – £59.99

Junior (6 mth – Under 2) – £29.99

If your card is lost or stolen and you need a replacement there will be a £5 charge so please keep your card safe.

Dogs are NOT permitted around the Farm as they can cause stress to our animals.
